Co-Founder & CEO

Jeff Fechter

Jeff is the Co-Founder and CEO of HouseMax Funding with over 20 years in residential real estate investing. Before launching HouseMax, he co-founded Aslan Residential (TX), helping acquire and sell more than 300 homes and leading brokerage operations responsible for 2,000+ residential asset sales. He specializes in sourcing investment opportunities and helping investors grow their portfolios. Outside of work he enjoys his wife and two children, golfing, and competitive volleyball.

Alex Morris

Alex is the Co-Founder and President of HouseMax Funding and a longtime Austin resident, overseeing business development, marketing, capital fundraising, and investor relations. With 16+ years in residential real estate investing, he has consistently ranked among Central Texas' top producers across short- and long-term investments. Alex played professionally in the Florida Marlins organization before a career-ending injury moved him into business. Outside of work he enjoys his wife and two children and the occasional round of golf.

Shawn Fechter

Head of Sales

Senior Vice President at HouseMax Funding. Over two decades Shawn built an impressive resume in hospitality and travel, helping grow an experiential travel company from 14 locations in 2010 to 200+ across six continents by 2024. A veteran of two private-equity transactions, he's as comfortable in the boardroom as in the trenches with his teams and customers.

Brian Baker

Senior Vice President

Brian leads capital management and financial reporting at HouseMax. A longtime Central Texas resident with a strong accounting and entrepreneurship background, he previously worked as an auditor for Texas Health and Human Services and founded a local financial advisory firm. Brian played collegiate baseball at Lubbock Christian University, graduating at the top of his business class. He enjoys fishing and hunting with his brothers.

Chase Scott

Table Funder

Vice President at HouseMax with 15+ years in mortgage operations and asset management, specializing in scalable processes and high-performing teams. Previously led operations at AlphaFlow and spent four years at Kiavi building an in-house Servicing and Asset Management team overseeing $1B+ in assets. He has also held leadership roles at Nationstar Mortgage and Conventus.

Aaron Ofczarzak

Director of Operations

Aaron graduated from Texas A&M in 2006 with a degree in Chemical Engineering, beginning his career at Samsung Austin Semiconductor before joining ESP Spares — helping grow the company from $2.5M to $10M+ in annual revenue as Chief Revenue Officer. In 2024 he joined HouseMax and quickly moved from Account Executive to Director of Operations. He focuses on borrower-focused processes that scale.

James Ferguson

Director of Sales

VP of Sales at HouseMax, James has helped drive the company's growth since its early days. He leads sales strategy and execution with a focus on scalable processes, strong client relationships, and consistent performance. He previously spent ten years in the automotive industry. A Washington State University graduate, James values family, cars, and building something lasting.

Alma Rodriguez

VP of Underwriting

Alma brings 26+ years of specialized experience in lending, asset management, and real estate. A veteran of complex market cycles, she's known for establishing institutional-grade processes that maximize capital recapture and mitigate risk. She has managed 1,500+ fix-and-flip assets and directed foreclosure brokerage operations for Fannie Mae and Wells Fargo during the GFC.

Aubrey Kozer

VP of Lending

Top-producing real estate lender at HouseMax, recognized as a Top Texas Originator and the #4 Originator in the Nation by Scotsman Guide. A University of Akron graduate, she earned her Biomedical Engineering degree Summa Cum Laude before moving into real estate finance. Last year she closed 546 loans and stays actively involved as an investor with three fix-and-flips currently underway.

Kaleb Provence

VP of Lending

Kaleb has built a reputation for performance and leadership at HouseMax. Since joining in 2019 he has originated $500M+ in loans — a company record — while maintaining a strong client-relationship focus. During his 2022–2024 management tenure he developed and mentored top-producing loan officers. Business Administration degree from Harding University.

Landon Ashby

VP of Lending

Landon leads the internal account executive team while actively originating loans. A 2020 Arkansas State graduate in Economics, he joined HouseMax in July 2021, relocating from Central Arkansas to Austin. He has quickly become a key contributor to company growth through leadership and production. Outside of work he enjoys family, golf, fishing, and hunting.

Grant Bair

Area Vice President
Seattle, WA

Grant focuses on building strong relationships with real estate investors throughout the Pacific Northwest. He has been with HouseMax for 4.5+ years, bringing a relationship-driven approach to his role. Born and raised in Washington, Grant relocated to Austin in 2021 to join HouseMax before returning to Washington with his wife in early 2026. With a construction background, he understands the importance of trust, execution, and communication.

Liroy Ozinci

Area Vice President
Dallas, TX

Known for his boots-on-the-ground approach, Liroy is deeply involved in the local real estate community — regularly hosting investor dinners, networking events, and educational workshops. He frequently partners with industry professionals to teach financing strategies, recently speaking at the Keller Williams Dallas Investor Workshop alongside a HouseMax client.

Joe Latson

Area Vice President
Detroit, MI

Joe serves the entire state of Michigan with a focus on infill residential development, transitional multi-family/mixed-use, and high-volume fix-and-flip clients. Previously a founding team member at Backflip, where he held key roles across the lending lifecycle. He has closed $2B+ in financing since 2010 and holds a Masters in Sustainable Real Estate Development from Tulane.

Rob Jennings

Rob began his career during the financial crisis working in cash-for-keys, rehabs, and hard money lending before transitioning into senior roles in construction lending. With hands-on experience in both lending and real estate projects, he has helped close hundreds of millions in loans and built long-term relationships with investors and developers across Southern California.

Brian leads the New England coverage team from the suburbs of Boston.
