Jeff Fechter

is a co-founder and CEO of HouseMax Funding, LLC and has been in the residential real estate industry for over 20 years. Mr. Fechter is also the co-founder of a real estate firm which specializes in sourcing investment opportunities for Central Texas investors. This company has provided a significant referral opportunity for these investors to utilize HouseMax Funding capital to procure their investment properties.

Prior to the founding of HouseMax Funding, Mr. Fechter was co-founder of Aslan Residential (TX) which was a private equity fund that principally bought and sold over 300 homes in the Central Texas market. Prior to co-founding the Texas arm of Aslan Residential, Mr. Fechter was VP of Sales for Aslan Residential, where Mr. Fechter built a real estate brokerage that sold over 2,000 repositioned residential assets. Mr. Fechter also managed a team of 20-40 employees that sourced 50-70 investment opportunities per month for the Aslan Funds.

In Mr. Fechter’s free time he spends time with wife and 2 children. Mr. Fechter is a single-digit handicap golfer, and was a collegiate volleyball player, still playing 3-5 times per week.

Alex Morris

is a co-founder and president of HouseMax Funding, LLC and a 33-year native of Austin, Texas. As President, Mr. Morris oversees business development and marketing for the Company, as well as managing capital fundraising and investor relations.

After toiling in the Austin tech world for several years during the Austin dot-com boom and bust, Mr. Morris sought a more entrepreneurial way of life in residential real estate. Active in central Texas real estate for over 16 years, Mr. Morris has been among the top 1% of producers for the better part of the last decade, with a heavy focus on residential investment for both short- and long-term purchases on behalf of investment clients.

Prior to his business career, Mr. Morris was drafted by, and played for, the Florida Marlins Baseball Organization. A career-ending shoulder injury sidelined that career, after which he dedicated 14 years to coaching at his alma mater Little League in West Austin and serving on its Board of Directors.

Mr. Morris spends his free time with his wife and 2 young children, and occasionally enjoys a sub-par golf game.

Doug Roberts

is Chief Revenue Officer of HouseMax Funding and a 24 year veteran of real estate finance. Mr. Roberts has originated and overseen over 1B in residential mortgage loan production since his career started. Prior to joining HouseMax Funding, Mr. Roberts was a co-founder at a mid-market real estate investment fund that specialized in the acquisition and disposition of distressed real estate and distressed mortgage debt. Over a 9-year period Mr. Roberts bought and sold over 190M in mortgage loans, and over 215 rental properties. Prior to this Mr. Roberts was a principle at Urban Funding Group, a mortgage brokerage that specialized in residential and commercial debt instruments, including the formation of mezzanine debt and other tiers of secured debt. In his early years Mr. Roberts founded and ran OneSource Wireless, and was able to grow this company as a 22yr old young man to 37 retail locations and over 300 employees in less than 2 years.

Mr. Roberts spends his free time with his 4 children. Mr. Roberts is a former powerlifter and can be found most mornings at 4am at the gym, which is a lifelong passion of his.

Brian Baker

is a Senior Vice President at HouseMax Funding, LLC and a 20-year native of Central Texas. As SVP, Mr. Baker oversees capital management and financial reporting. In addition to his primary job functions, Brian has been recognized by HouseMax for his commitment to real estate lending. As an experienced leader and entrepreneur, he is driven by results and takes pride in providing the best lending experience possible.

After acquiring an Accounting degree, Brian served as an Auditor for Texas Health and Human Services for 4 years and was the founder of a local financial advisory company prior to joining the HouseMax Funding vision.

Prior to his business career, Brian played collegiate baseball at Lubbock Christian University and graduated at the top of his business class. In his free time, Brian enjoys fishing and hunting with his brothers.
